Welcome to Fred's Perspective. I enjoy exploring the topic of finance, investing and just finding ways to make money and have fun doing it. I've written on other subjects like travel ( this photo was taken while in Italy) personal experiences, cartooning and fostering cats. Drop by. Read a while. Enjoy
My main goal is to invest in platforms which will make a profit and will give you the freedom to venture into other activities. Are you interesting in exploring various subjects? Are you interested in reading about art, politics, music, social issues and weightlifting? Then you are in the right place.
Throughout most of my life I studied men like Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison, Frederick Johnson, W.E.B. DuBois, Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, Sir John Templeton and Nikola Tesla just to name a few. What motivated these advance thinkers motivated me to expand my own mind based on learning and application.
First you need the funds to conduct your life. I have owned my own home painting business. Made money with my own band playing piano and self-publishing books. Purchased my first stock in the 1980's. I've worked my way up from a security officer into Project Executive while experimenting with a chemistry set in my apartment and composing music for college films. Own and operate rental properties with my wife. I have published over 200 essays on a variety of subjects.
My essays have appeared in several newspapers including Los Angeles Times, The Washington Observer Reporter and Pasadena Star News. I've been a top contributor to Yahoo.com with over 2 million viewers. I've written two books: Notes From A Whimsical Observer (poetry) and Spiritual Dancer, A Spiritual Journey, both are being sold on www.amazon.com. They are listed in "My Book" section and you can download the Kindle version from Amazon. I also write for International Living Magazine.
I am a musical composer, film maker, scriptwriter, professional poet and cartoonist.
Being a polymath my desire is to write about the diverse topics that I'm passionate about without being boring or too verbose. Always looking to improve, I am interested in your comments, questions, information and feedback.
I am a record-breaking power lifter (weightlifter) who has been competing for over 34 years. 2014 I came in first place in my age group and division in California and Pennsylvania. I broke a state record in California in 1997.
Like Franklin I was able to retire early at the age of 45 (Franklin retired at 42). Franklin believed in giving back to the community. I volunteered for a local non-profit organization. In 2012 I was elected President and CEO of The Highland Ridge Community Development Corporation and served in that capacity until 2015. It's a non-profit organization trying to help local citizens of Washington, Pennsylvania with blight issues and to keep low-income homeowners who are Seniors (60 and over), veterans, or permanently physically disabled stabilize their homes so they can remain in them. To find out more information or make a donation, visit the site: http://www.highlandridgecdc.org
While I'm no longer a part of the organization I continue to support their mission.
Currently I'm working on a new novel. It's a detective story.
